Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring that The League and those served by the organization have access to accurate, timely, and relevant information. This person in this position: • provides information and referral to consumers, center staff, other organizations and the community at large • manages the League’s Social Networking activities • serves as webmaster for the League’s website (www.the-league.org) and web based information (www.disabilityinfosite.com) • serve as administrator for the League’s consumer management information system (MIS).

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two years of post secondary education and four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer a qualified person with a disability.

Orientation and Mobility Specialist

Position Summary: The League is excited to announce the availability of an Orientation & Mobility Specialist position. This position is responsible for assisting the consumers in learning the skills needed to travel independently. The O & M Specialist provides white cane travel training to consumers of all ages in indoor and outdoor settings, teaches consumers how to access public transportation and orients consumers to areas of their choice and/or need.
