Naturalists from the Ornithology Center at Eagle Creek Park would like to welcome all people who enjoy birds to virtually celebrate with us and learn about how we can remove barriers to access in the birding community. Due to the weather and ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we are switching the “Big Sit” to a virtual event.
The virtual seminar will include introductions, a presentation from accessABILITY, instructions on how to set-up feeders in your own backyard, and live footage of the bird feeders and woods surrounding the Ornithology Center! We will all collaborate and count as many birds as we can from the comfort of our laptops!
This program is FREE, but please sign up here so we can send you additional information as well as the video link and password. Sign up here: https://apm.activecommunities.com/indyparks/Activity_Search/adaptive-inclusive-accessible-birding-big-sit-eagle-creek/22955
Information packets & resources for further learning will be provided. Please reach out with any specific accommodation needs you have, we are glad you are interested in this event and will see to it that you are welcomed and accommodated.
ASL interpretation and close captioning are pending at this time; keep checking this page and our Facebook for updates and changes.
