Meet Emma

We’re excited to introduce you to the newest member of accessABILITY’s team, Emma Rees!

Emma is serving with accessABILITY through Public Allies. Public Allies is part of AmeriCorps and is a program of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center. This social justice organization is committed to changing the face and practice of leadership by recruiting and training talented young leaders with a passion for social impact. We are excited to have Emma as our Ally!

Emma graduated from DePauw University earlier this year with a double major in English Writing & Film and a minor in Spanish. She loves writing and enjoys serving in the nonprofit world. “I like to go with the flow and see where life takes me,” she said.

She loves doing all things creative (especially painting) and is a huge foodie. Outside of work, Emma tries to exercise but you can usually find her curled up with a good book or rewatching one of her favorite movies, which is usually a cheesy romcom. We asked her what is one thing that people don’t know about you, and she shared that she has a pair of bedazzled shorts!

“I’m excited to serve at accessABILITY because of its connection to Public Allies. I enjoy all the opportunities for me to learn and grow, and the people are wonderful to be around!”
