As a disability led organization, we believe it is important for all individuals to have safe, affordable, and accessible housing in their community. As such, accessABILITY is committed to hosting two housing search workshops each month, free and open to the public. Our goal with each workshop is to assist in the search for safe, affordable housing in the area or neighborhood of an attendee’s choice to support independent living in our communities. In addition, attendee’s will depart with more skills and confidence in computer use, housing searches, and decision making. Access to computers is available, along with direct assistance from an advocate. We are also able to offer an IndyGo bus line travel voucher to get home after the workshop. The next workshop dates are as follows: August 23rd from 2pm – 4pm, September 12th from 2pm – 4pm, and September 27th from 10:30am – 1pm.
