July 1, 2021 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Join us on July 1st from 5-6 pm for the Neurodiverse Peer Support Group!
Neurodiversity is the infinite variations and diversity of the human mind. These differences are normal, yet the neurotypical society we live in puts up barriers. Our peers include those with ADHD, Autism, Tourette’s, Dyslexia, Bipolar, and more.
The Neurodiverse Peer Support Group is a peer-led, peer-supported safe space for learning and growing together. While we enjoy our social time, each month we cover a specific topic where we share resources, insight, and personal stories to grow as Advocates.
This month, we will be discussing employment including the topics of self-advocating in the workplace, the ADA, barriers to employment such as lack of training or transportation, and much more. You are also more than welcome to come and listen – participation isn’t mandatory.
